Bluehost: Bluetopia

Bluehost powers over 2 million websites worldwide, and is known for its WordPress expertise. But for many people, working with WordPress can be intimidating. To alleviate those fears and inspire people to dream bigger, we made a digital experience tangible, immersive, and fun. Meet Bluetopia: a playful pop-up world of websites in Soho, NYC.

Visitors immersed themselves in the creativity of building the perfect website for their retail shop, travel blog, or e-commerce business. Three distinct spaces represented three kinds of websites. Brand ambassadors took photos of guests in the interactive spaces, and our experts at the Blue Bar answered questions and handed out copies of Bluehost’s new book, The Blueprint: A New User’s Guide to Wordpress.

In three days, Bluetopia welcomed more than 1000 visitors and generated over 148 million media impressions, gifting hundreds of copies of The Blueprint to the people of NYC and introducing them to Bluehost’s website experts. Over 200 visitors spoke with our Blue Bar experts, and over 450 social posts were shared using our hashtag #BluetopiaNYC, generating over 64,000 Instagram impressions and an increased curiosity about the Bluehost brand.
